Is Insomnia troubling you?

Are overwhelming thoughts preventing you from sleeping?

Here are some tips:

  • Switch off your phone at least one hour before bed time. Don't have the phone next to you or switch it off

  • Have a journal next to your bed and write down everything that is on your mind. Everything. Take your time to write everything down. Write down things you may have to do tomorrow or things that are troubling you. Write it all down.

  • Then turn the light off and take some nice deep breaths in and out. Place one hand on your chest and one on your stomach and feel them moving up and down with each breath in and out.

  • Think of a place where you love to be where you feel very safe and very happy.

  • Don't pay attention to any thoughts coming in. Just observe them and let them flow away from you. If they persist say" Cancel" to each thought and concentrate on your breathing.

  • Say a positive affirmation to yourself, ie. "I am good enough", "I am worthy" "I am calm and relaxed" .. Imagine how good you feel believing in yourself!

  • Then say to yourself "Sleep now"
