While many still believe that weight loss is all about counting calories, and our food industry is supporting this belief with all the diet products they have on offer, it’s simply not the truth. Weight loss is not all about counting calories or eating different diet products low in carbohydrates, fat or sugar, or taking supplements– it is connected to our psychology, our emotions, and our beliefs. If your mind is not supporting the idea of achieving and maintaining your ideal weight, eating healthy nutritious food and keeping yourself fit, no new diet or magic diet pills will work for you in the long term. In fact, 98% of people who diet, end up gaining their weight back.

What are the Psychological Reasons that hold you back?
One of the major psychological reasons for holding onto unwanted weight or loosing too much weight is stress. You may experience stress in your work, in your relationships or in your environment. Your stress may be coming from negative emotions, worrying thoughts and limiting beliefs that are giving you stress. When you experience stress (internal or external) your body is in a survival mode. The metabolism is slowed down to keep extra energy in your body in case you need it to overcome a stressful situation or deal with negative emotions. Your body is then actually storing more fat and will not release the desired weight. Stress can also cause loss of appetite and some people may experience unwanted weight loss.
If you live a stressful life or have internal conflicts and you want to loose or gain weight, you will need to find a way to shift your body and mind away from chronic stress into relaxation and slowing down.

Power in You – Weight Management Hypnosis and Psychotherapy Program also offers the “virtual” gastric band hypnosis, which is beneficial for those who want to loose a large amount of weight.
The Virtual Gastric Band Hypnosis is a non surgical technique, which retrains your subconscious mind to be satisfied with smaller amounts of food. It is a very safe and effective method that helped several of my clients to loose weight successfully.
Following the hypnosis you will find that you are satisfied with smaller amounts of food. You can eat the food you want, but the changes that happened during hypnosis will enable you to eat smaller portions. You will feel not deprived or hungry, which are issues that cause many diets to fail.

Power in You - Weight Management Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy program
The Power in You Weight Management Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy program is conducted on a weekly basis over a period of time. Depending on your ideal weight goals the program can range from 4, 6 and up to 12 sessions.
At first we are meeting weekly, then sessions may be spaced out between visits according to your progress.
During the program you will be supported with weekly follow ups, audio recordings, self management strategies and tools to keep you motivated.
Each session is about 1- 2 hours in duration.
Power in You Weight Management Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy Program is following the guidelines of the successful principles and suggestions of the T2LW Program developed by the Hypnotherapy Training College Australia. Liani is a certified practitioner of the T2LW Program.
